Welcome to Nerja Property
Nerja is a classy coastal resort. You can happily spend your time here in the sun and swimming in the coves that line the sea front, investigating the pretty town centre and visiting Nerja's caves. However Nerja is ideally located to act as a base for touring this part of Andalucia. There are a wealth of places to go all within an hour of the resort. Visit the white villages or 'pueblos blancos' ( for example Frigiliana & Competa) visit the historic city of Granada and the coastal towns of Almunecar and Salobrena. You can ski on Granada's Sierra Nevada slopes, walk in the Sierra de Almijara national park and bathe on a deserted beach.

We planned a three week tour of Andalucia in the spring of 2005 by looking at a road map. One of the places we had on our itinerary was Nerja. It was the opposite side of Malaga to the uncontrolled development which runs all the way from Torremolinos through Marbella and beyond. The Spanishness of these resorts has been lost and the natural environment ruined. However the area around Nerja has retained its traditional charm and natural beauty.
Nerja itself is Cosmopolitan resort, it provides all types of international
cuisine and English is spoken everywhere. Despite this it still feels like
a Spanish town, the streets around the town centre are lined with traditional
white town houses and there is promenade along the sea front which one moment is
a huge viewing platform, the next, leads you through overhanging rocks and past
fig trees to a cute cove. See if you can find the drawbridge!
About This Site
This site has been written to encourage other travellers to visit Nerja. It is a wonderful place to visit but an even better place to stay for a while. This site should provide a taster of what there is to do in this area of Andalucia and should help you plan your trip.
Nerja has become a very popular resort to purchase a holiday home or to emigrate to. As a result prices have risen hugely over the last 10 years and continue to rise. However they are still competitive when when compared to the better known resorts west of Malaga. If you are interested in buying a place we have provided some information on how you might go about this.
I hope you will be inspired enough to visit this fantastic area of Spain's heady Andalucian region. Enjoy!
